A Sales Representative is responsible for selling the company's agricultural products/services to farmers, dealers, or other agri-business customers and building long-term relationships with them.
Key responsibilities:
- Visit farmers and agricultural areas regularly.
- Understand farmers' crop, soil, and farming-related requirements.
- Explain and sell products such as seeds, fertilizers, bio-inputs, pesticides, farm equipment, or digital agri-services.
- Demonstrate how the company's product/service can help solve a farmer's problem.
- Generate recent farmer/customer leads.
- Maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Collect feedback from farmers and share it with the company.
- Coordinate with the Agronomist/Field Agronomist for technical agricultural advice.
- Track competitors, pricing, and market demand in the assigned territory.
- Maintain records of farmer visits, leads, sales, and follow-ups.
