DMC Finishing School Pvt. Ltd. (DMCFSPL) is a workforce solutions and skill development organization supporting organizations with manpower deployment, apprenticeship, trainee management, workforce administration, and HR services.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Manager – HR & IR to manage HR operations and Industrial Relations at our Kandivali location, with a strong focus on blue-collar workforce management.

Key Responsibilities1. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

- Manage day-to-day employee relations and industrial relations activities at the plant/location.
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for employees, trainees, supervisors, and management.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, absenteeism, misconduct, and workplace issues.
- Maintain a positive and productive relationship between employees and management.
- Support management in handling employee disputes and IR-related matters.
- Conduct employee counselling and grievance-resolution meetings.
- Identify potential employee-relations issues and take preventive action.
- Coordinate with management during employee protests, disputes, or other IR situations.

2. Blue-Collar Workforce Management

- Manage large-scale blue-collar / shop-floor manpower.
- Monitor manpower deployment, attendance, absenteeism, attrition, productivity, and workforce discipline.
- Coordinate with production and departmental teams for daily manpower requirements.
- Ensure timely replacement of absentee or resigned employees.
- Develop and maintain effective manpower planning and deployment processes.
- Monitor workforce engagement and retention initiatives.
- Conduct regular interaction with workers and supervisors to understand ground-level issues.

3. Recruitment & Workforce Planning

- Coordinate with recruitment teams for fulfilment of manpower requirements.
- Support blue-collar hiring and bulk recruitment activities.
- Understand manpower requirements and ensure timely deployment.
- Coordinate interviews, selection, joining, documentation, and onboarding.
- Track recruitment-to-joining ratios and manpower fulfilment.
- Work closely with the recruitment team to control attrition and improve retention.

4. HR Operations

- Ensure smooth execution of day-to-day HR operations.
- Maintain employee records, joining documents, attendance records, and other HR documentation.




- Monitor attendance and leave management.
- Coordinate with payroll teams for accurate attendance and salary processing.
- Ensure timely resolution of employee queries related to salary, attendance, leave, perks, etc.
- Prepare and maintain HR MIS reports.

5. Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and statutory requirements.
- Ensure proper maintenance of statutory registers, records, notices, and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal and external compliance teams.
- Support statutory inspections, audits, and labour department requirements.
- Ensure compliance requirements for contract workers, trainees, apprentices, and other deployed manpower.

6. Contractor / Client Coordination

- Coordinate with client HR, IR, ER, production, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain professional relationships with client management.
- Attend regular review meetings with the client.
- Address manpower-related concerns raised by the client.
- Ensure DMCFSPL workforce complies with client-site policies and requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams for timely closure of client concerns.

7. Employee Engagement & Retention

- Conduct regular employee interaction and engagement activities.
- Analyse reasons for absenteeism and attrition.
- Develop initiatives to improve employee retention.
- Conduct employee feedback sessions and floor visits.
- Identify recurring workforce issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Promote discipline, productivity, safety, and positive workplace culture.

8. Performance & MIS

- Prepare and share regular HR & IR MIS reports.
- Track key parameters such as:
- Headcount
- Attendance
- Absenteeism
- Attrition
- Recruitment
- Joining
- Manpower deployment
- Employee grievances
- Disciplinary cases
- Statutory compliance
- Analyse HR data and provide actionable insights to management.
- Ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

9. Discipline & Compliance at Workplace

- Ensure adherence to company and client disciplinary policies.
- Handle warning letters, show-cause notices, counselling, and disciplinary processes as applicable.
- Coordinate investigations into employee misconduct and workplace incidents.
- Maintain proper documentation of disciplinary actions.
- Promote punctuality, attendance discipline, workplace behaviour,



and compliance with safety requirements.

Candidate ProfileEducation

- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Labour Law / IR qualification or certification will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in HR, Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, or HR Operations.
- Experience in blue-collar / shop-floor workforce management is mandatory.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, engineering, logistics, FMCG, or similar industrial environments will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience managing large manpower strength will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Employee Relations (ER) & Industrial Relations (IR).
- Strong understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience in blue-collar recruitment and workforce management.
- Good grievance-handling and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to independently handle shop-floor HR matters.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
- Good analytical and HR MIS skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRMS.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-oriented environment.
