We are looking for an experienced and skilled Colourist to join our fabric manufacturing team. The Colourist will be responsible for developing, matching, and approving fabric shades as per customer requirements and production standards.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of textile colour matching, dyeing processes, shade correction, colour formulation, and fabric quality standards. The candidate should be able to work closely with the dyeing, laboratory, production, and quality teams to achieve accurate and consistent shades.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and match fabric shades according to customer requirements and approved standards.
- Perform colour matching and shade evaluation for different types of fabrics.
- Prepare and maintain colour recipes and dye formulations.
- Conduct laboratory trials and shade development before bulk production.
- Analyze fabric samples and identify shade variations.
- Carry out shade correction and recipe adjustments when required.
- Approve lab dips and production shades according to approved standards.
- Coordinate with the Dyeing, Production, Quality Control, and Lab teams to ensure shade accuracy.
- Monitor shade consistency during bulk dyeing production.
- Maintain proper records of colour recipes, lab dips, shade approvals, and corrections.
- Ensure colour recipes are properly documented for repeat orders.




- Work on colour matching under standard lighting conditions and maintain colour standards.
- Use colour-matching instruments such as spectrophotometer/colorimeter, where applicable.
- Investigate colour-related quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the production team in reducing shade rejection, re-dyeing, and colour variation.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and company quality standards.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow safety procedures in the colour laboratory.
- Coordinate with customers or merchandising teams when clarification is required regarding shades and colour standards.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience as a Colourist in textile/fabric dyeing or manufacturing.
- Robust knowledge of textile dyes, colour matching, dyeing processes, and fabric types.
- Practical experience in shade development, lab dips, and shade correction.
- Knowledge of colour measurement and evaluation techniques.
- Experience with spectrophotometer/color matching systems is an advantage.
- Good understanding of colour fastness and fabric quality requirements.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under production deadlines and maintain accuracy.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
