Relations AI is omnichannel conversational AI Platform for businesses. Profitable and bootstrapped since 2019 with over 10B+ conversations processed. Meta Business Partner and part of NVIDIA Inception.

This is our first full-time engineering hire for the voice AI platform. You will work directly with the founder and our founding AI engineer.

THE ROLE

You will own the platform layer of our voice AI product. The realtime voice pipeline is already built and handled by our founding AI engineer. Your focus is everything on top of it: dashboard, analytics, agent configuration, usage metering, database, deployment and infrastructure.

Roughly 70-80% building, 20-30% client-facing (onboarding, integration debugging, technical support, occasional demo support). We sell across BFSI, NBFC, fintech, education, agriculture and other industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build and ship features on the voice platform: analytics and call history, agent configuration, prompt management, client dashboards, usage metering

- Integrate and debug third-party APIs, webhooks and telephony providers

- Own the database schema, deployments, CI/CD and production infrastructure

- Build our vendor integration behind a clean internal abstraction, so we can add or switch orchestration providers without a rewrite

- Onboard new clients end to end, from account setup to first live call

- Handle technical support: diagnose why a call failed, trace it through the stack, fix it

- Build workflows using the no-code flow builder on our existing chat platform

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Python, FastAPI (async, REST APIs, webhooks, background jobs)

- PostgreSQL in production. Schema design and queries you are not embarrassed by

- React or Next.js. Not a frontend specialist,



but able to build and modify UI without help

- Docker and cloud deployment, ideally AWS. Has taken at least one service to production

- Third-party API integration: auth flows, webhook handling, retries, and debugging someone else's API when the docs are wrong

- You test locally before you push. You do not break production, and when something breaks you can work out what went wrong and why, not just make it go away

- Fluent English and Hindi, comfortable on a client call explaining what went wrong

GOOD TO HAVE

- CPaaS, telephony, or messaging platform experience

- Experience with voice AI or chatbot platforms, even as a side project. We care about curiosity, not production credentials

- Multi-tenant SaaS, usage metering or billing systems

- Familiarity with realtime audio concepts

WHAT MATTERS MOST

You can operate without someone standing over you. This is a fully remote role at a small company. Our founding AI engineer reviews your code and guides technical direction, asynchronously. You will regularly hit problems where documentation is thin or wrong, and you will need to read source code, form a view and proceed.

We use AI coding tools heavily and expect you to. We care about your judgment on the output, not your speed at producing it. Whatever you ship, you should be able to explain it and change it six months later.

GROWTH





As the team grows there will be opportunities to work on the realtime voice pipeline itself. What we can commit to is exposure to the whole stack and far more ownership than you would get at a larger company.

- Working hours: IST business hours (client-facing role)

- Notice period: immediate joiners or under 30 days preferred

- Probation: 6 months, with a formal review at 90 days

- Notice period: 15 days during probation, 45 days post-confirmation

- This is a full-time role. We expect it to be your only job
