Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesA. Teaching and Learning

- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons according to the school curriculum and academic standards.
- Teach English language, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and literature.
- Develop students’ communication, comprehension, creative writing, and critical thinking skills.
- Use innovative teaching methods, digital resources, and activity-based learning.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, and teaching-learning materials.
- Ensure differentiated learning strategies to support students of different abilities.
- Maintain an effective and positive classroom learning environment.
- Encourage students to participate in discussions, debates, presentations, and literary activities.

B. Curriculum Planning and Academic Coordination

- Support the Head of Department and Academic Coordinator in curriculum planning.
- Prepare annual, term-wise, and weekly teaching plans.
- Ensure timely completion of the syllabus as per the academic calendar.
- Develop subject-wise learning objectives and expected learning outcomes.
- Review and improve teaching methodologies based on student performance.
- Support the implementation of international school curriculum standards, where applicable.
- Coordinate with other subject teachers for interdisciplinary learning activities.

C. Student Assessment and Progress

- Prepare question papers, worksheets, assignments, and examination materials.
- Conduct regular assessments, tests, projects, and class activities.
- Evaluate students’ written and oral work fairly and accurately.
- Maintain assessment records and student performance reports.
- Identify students who require additional academic support.
- Provide remedial classes and enrichment activities when required.
- Share student progress and academic concerns with parents and management.
- Ensure timely submission of marks, report cards, and assessment records.

D. Mentoring and Leadership Responsibilities

- Guide and mentor junior English teachers in lesson planning and classroom management.
- Conduct peer observations and provide constructive feedback.
- Support new teachers in understanding school policies and academic procedures.
- Share best teaching practices and innovative classroom strategies.
- Assist the Academic Coordinator in monitoring English department performance.




- Coordinate English department meetings and academic discussions when assigned.
- Support teacher training, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Maintain a collaborative and professional working environment within the department.

E. English Language and Literary Activities

- Organize English language activities, debates, elocution, storytelling, and public speaking.
- Encourage participation in essay writing, poetry, creative writing, and literary competitions.
- Coordinate English Club activities and reading programs.
- Promote reading habits and effective vocabulary development among students.
- Prepare students for inter-school competitions, Olympiads, and academic events.
- Support school assemblies, cultural programs, and special English-related events.
- Encourage confidence, fluency, and effective communication skills.

F. Classroom Management and Student Discipline

- Maintain discipline and ensure respectful student behaviour.
- Create an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
- Monitor student attendance, punctuality, and participation.
- Follow school policies related to student safety, discipline, and safeguarding.
- Address student concerns professionally and report serious issues to the appropriate authority.
- Encourage values such as respect, responsibility, teamwork, and integrity.

G. Parent and School Coordination

- Attend PTMs and communicate student academic progress to parents.
- Address parent concerns related to English subject learning.
- Coordinate with the Academic Coordinator and Principal regarding academic matters.
- Participate in school events, meetings, workshops, and training programs.
- Submit academic reports and required documentation within deadlines.
- Maintain professional communication with colleagues, parents, and management.

H. Administrative and Academic Documentation

- Maintain lesson plans, teaching records, student assessment data, and academic files.




- Complete syllabus planners and academic trackers on time.
- Submit question papers and answer keys for review and approval.
- Maintain records of student projects, assignments, and academic achievements.
- Follow the school’s attendance, leave, reporting, and documentation procedures.
- Perform other academic responsibilities assigned by the Principal or Academic Coordinator.

- Strong knowledge of English grammar, literature, and language teaching.

- Curriculum planning and assessment expertise.

- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and digital teaching tools.

5. Qualification and Experience

Educational Qualification:

- Master’s degree in English / English Literature preferred.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred or as required by the curriculum and applicable regulations.

Experience:

- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant English teaching experience, preferably in an international or reputed school.
- Experience mentoring teachers or handling academic coordination is an advantage.
- Experience with Cambridge, IB, or other international curricula is preferred for relevant school positions.

Pay: ₹15,148.06 - ₹42,874.93 per month
