- Job Title: Transformer Technician / Senior Electrician - Transformer Shop
- Qualification: ITI in Electrician / Wireman / Coil Winder.
- Experience: 1 to 4 Years of hands-on experience in a transformer manufacturing plant or electrical maintenance unit.
- Job Summary:
- To independently handle transformer core assembly, coil winding, active part assembly, internal/external wiring, and routine/type testing of distribution and power transformers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Core & Coil Assembly: Perform core building, clamping, and precise positioning of winding coils as per technical drawings and blueprints.
- Wiring & Connections: Execute complex HT/LT lead connections, brazing/crimping, and tap-changer assembly.
- Tanking & Insulation:
Handle core-coil assembly insertion into the tank, oil filling preparation, and sealing/gasket fixing.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine electrical tests (Megger test, winding resistance, voltage ratio, and vector group test) and troubleshoot assembly defects.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of transformers or shop-floor equipment; ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards
