Divine Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd is looking for an experienced Welding Engineer to join our QA/QC team. The candidate will be responsible for supervising welding activities, managing welder qualifications, maintaining WPS/PQR/WPQ documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable welding standards, and supporting quality requirements throughout fabrication projects.
* Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and issue welding parameter slips as per approved WPS and project requirements.
- Conduct interviews and qualification assessments for new welders.
- Coordinate and conduct welder training programs and Toolbox Talks (TBT).
- Coordinate with clients/consultants for welder qualification tests and related documentation.
- Provide QC guidance for welder acceptance and rejection.
- Prepare and maintain Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) records and qualified welder logs.
- Prepare, review, and maintain WPS and PQR documentation.
- Maintain welding equipment calibration records and ensure timely calibration.
- Verify backing materials and backing processes as per applicable specifications and standards.
- Supervise welding activities and ensure compliance with approved procedures, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Resolve technical queries related to welding processes, consumables, materials, and procedures.
- Prepare welding-related inspection reports, progress reports, and other quality documentation.
- Coordinate with production, QA/QC, clients, consultants, and other internal teams.
- Report welding-related activities, quality issues, and project progress to the QC In-charge.
- Assign suitable work/proxy arrangements when required to maintain operational continuity.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
* Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, consumables, and welding standards.
- Positive knowledge of ASME, AWS and applicable international welding codes/standards.
- Knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQ and welder qualification procedures.
- ASNT NDT Level II certification will be an advantage/preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering/quality documentation.
* Educational Qualifications: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
* Experiences: 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in Welding Engineering, QA/QC, heavy fabrication, structural fabrication, pressure equipment, or engineering projects.
Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
