Job Responsibilities :

Sr. Lead QA/QC is responsible for establishing and implementing Quality Management System for the projects and to ensure that the produced goods / products meet quality and efficiency standards established for the project.

Manage and control all quality control activities in accordance with identified Quality Assurance standards, company procedures, project specifications and contract requirements.

Continuously review quality control processes, procedures and capabilities in order to sustain the most cost effective and productive methods for meeting quality requirements, and making recommendation for improvement as appropriate.

Review and approve contractor and sub # contractor quality control documentation to ensure their planned activities meet contractual requirements.

- Lead a team of Quality / Inspection personnel (Internal as well as external).

- Ensure that Quality Management System is established, implemented and monitored for the project

- Enforce that latest Construction Specifications, Drawings and Data-sheets are available at site.

- Review and approve Contractor(s) Quality Assurance and Control procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), manufacturing procedure specifications (MPS), test Procedures and Formats.

- Co-ordinate site and independent laboratory inspection visits with Contractor and monitor inspection and tests performed by site Quality personnel.

- Manage review and approval of procedure and personnel qualification for welding and non-destructive testing (NDT).

- Manage stores receipt inspection of packages/equipment/items/raw materials received at site.

- Manage stage-wise surveillance/witness inspection of equipment and piping fabrication, erection, inspection, testing and painting.





- Manage witness / surveillance inspection of erection, installation, alignment and/or testing of equipment as per approved documents/Contractor#s Installation manual.

- Review and ensure closure of all punch points and non-conformances.

- Approve final quality documentation for various works carried out.

- Lead trouble shooting project quality issues.

- Conduct and participate in quality review meetings with Contractor/Sub-contractor.

- Support Project Manager on critical QA/QC issues and recommend corrective actions.

Education Requirement :

Minimum a Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering

Experience Requirement :

Candidate should have overall experience of minimum 10 to 15 years in Quality Assurance /Quality Control (QA/QC) activities for Oil & Gas Projects. Candidate should have handled QA/QC activities for subsea pipelines and facilities (such as manifolds, PLEMS, PLETS, Umbilicals, X-Mas Trees, subsea valves, etc.).

Experience in fabrication / construction activities of FPSO is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies :

- Candidate shall have sound knowledge of national and international codes and standards such as DNV OS-F101, ASME B 31.3, ASME B 31.4, ASME B 31.8, API 650, AWS D1.1, ASME Sec IX, ASME Sec V, ASME Sec 2 part A, ASME Sec 2 part C, ASTM / IS material specifications etc.

- Candidate shall have sound knowledge of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and SAW welding processes. AWS/CSWIP Certification shall be preferred.

- Candidate shall have in depth knowledge of various non-destructive testing methods. Candidate shall be ASNT/PCN Level II certified in UT, RT, MPT and PT.

Proficient with MS Office applications like MS Word MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc.

- Candidate having additional knowledge related to inspection of electrical, instrumentation and civil works will be an added advantage.

- Should be a good team player and work harmoniously with all levels giving due respect to others.

- Shall possess Good and effective oral & written communication skills.
