Job Purpose

To supervise and control daily press shop production activities, ensuring production targets, quality, safety, productivity, and timely delivery are achieved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and supervise daily production as per the production schedule.
- Allocate manpower and machines according to production requirements.
- Operate and monitor power presses, hydraulic/mechanical presses and related equipment.
- Ensure proper setting of dies, tools and machines before production.
- Ensure products are manufactured as per drawing, specifications and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical/Production Engineering preferred.
- 3–7 years of experience in press shop.
- Knowledge of press machines, dies, tooling and sheet-metal components.
- Basic knowledge of production planning and quality control.
- Good manpower handling and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of industrial safety and 5S.
- Ability to maintain production records and reports.

- Coordinate with QA, Maintenance, Stores and Planning departments.
- Maintain daily production reports, machine utilization and rejection records.
- Identify production problems and take corrective action to minimize downtime.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of dies, tools, raw materials and finished components.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements and 5S practices in the press shop.
- Conduct toolbox talks and guide workers on safe machine operation.
- Monitor worker performance, discipline, attendance and productivity.
- Train and guide operators on machine operation and work methods.
- Reduce material wastage and improve productivity through process improvements.
- Report machine breakdowns and coordinate with Maintenance for timely repair.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the press shop.
- Prepare shift handover reports and communicate pending activities/issues to the next shift.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs and work instructions.
- Perform any other production-related duties assigned by the Production/Plant Head.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
