Special Educator / Counselor – School

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Special Educator / Counselor to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs. The candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and assess students requiring additional academic, behavioral, emotional, or developmental support.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) wherever required.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions for students with special educational needs.
- Support students with learning difficulties, ADHD, ASD, behavioral challenges, and other developmental needs.
- Conduct counseling sessions and provide age-appropriate emotional and behavioral support.
- Work closely with teachers to modify teaching strategies and classroom accommodations.
- Maintain confidential student records, assessment reports, and progress documentation.




- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' progress and areas requiring support.
- Coordinate with external therapists, psychologists, and other specialists when required.
- Conduct awareness sessions for teachers and parents on inclusive education and student well-being.
- Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate interventions.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

- Master's/Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- RCI certification/registration will be preferred for Special Educator profiles.
- Relevant experience working in a school environment.
- Solid understanding of learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental conditions, and behavioral/emotional challenges.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
- Empathetic, patient, and student-focused approach.

Experience: 2–5 years in a school/educational setting preferred.
