Job Description

The Building Contractor (TBC) is looking for a Design Engineer – Civil to join our Design & Estimation Team.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing construction working drawings, permit drawings, K-SMART submissions, estimates and BOQs, while coordinating drawings with project and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed construction working drawings for residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare architectural and civil drawings required for site execution.
- Prepare K-SMART permit drawings and related documentation.
- Handle building permit applications, corrections and drawing revisions.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, estimates and BOQs from approved drawings.
- Prepare detailed drawings for foundations, masonry, flooring, toilets, staircases, elevations and other construction elements.
- Coordinate architectural, structural and service drawings before execution.
- Prepare and update drawings based on site requirements and approved revisions.
- Support the site team with drawing clarifications and technical details.
- Maintain proper drawing files, revisions and documentation.
- Coordinate with architects,



engineers, estimation and project teams.

Qualification

B.Tech / B.E / Diploma in Civil Engineering

Preferred Skills

- Solid knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of construction working drawings and detailing.
- Knowledge of K-SMART and Kerala building permit procedures.
- Ability to read and coordinate architectural and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of estimation, quantity take-off and BOQ preparation.
- Good knowledge of residential construction methods and materials.
- MS Excel knowledge.
- Good attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with site and design teams.

Experience

1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Freshers with strong AutoCAD skills, construction drawing knowledge and good technical understanding may also be considered.
