We are looking for a skilled and patient-focused ECG Technician to perform ECG and related cardiac diagnostic procedures in a diagnostic centre. The candidate will be responsible for conducting tests accurately, ensuring patient comfort, maintaining equipment, and supporting the medical team with quality diagnostic data.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform 12-lead ECG and other assigned cardiac diagnostic tests accurately.
- Prepare patients for ECG procedures and explain the process clearly.
- Correctly place ECG electrodes and ensure proper patient positioning.
- Operate and maintain ECG machines and related equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot common technical/artifact issues during ECG recording.
- Ensure clear, accurate, and high-quality ECG recordings for physician interpretation.
- Immediately inform the concerned doctor/medical team of any critical or abnormal observations as per protocol.
- Maintain patient records, test reports, and documentation.
- Follow infection-control, hygiene, patient-safety, and diagnostic-centre protocols.
- Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of ECG equipment after each procedure.
- Coordinate with reception, doctors, nurses,
and other diagnostic staff for smooth patient flow.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Follow all organizational quality and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- DMLT / B.Sc. / Diploma in ECG Technology / Cardiac Care Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant certification in ECG/Cardiac Technology will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in a diagnostic centre, hospital, or healthcare facility is preferred.
