Role Summary

We are looking for a Special Educator who can support students with diverse learning needs and work closely with teachers, parents, and the school leadership team.

The Special Educator will identify individual learning requirements, develop suitable intervention strategies, provide one-on-one or small-group support, and continuously monitor student progress.

Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Support

- Identify students who require additional academic, behavioural, social, or learning support.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group interventions based on individual needs.
- Support students with learning difficulties, ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, developmental delays, and other learning needs.
- Help students improve academic, communication, social, behavioural, and functional skills.

Individualized Learning & Intervention

- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) where required.
- Set measurable learning goals and regularly review student progress.
- Adapt teaching methods, activities, worksheets, and learning materials according to individual requirements.
- Use appropriate remedial and experiential learning techniques.

Classroom Collaboration

- Work closely with class teachers and subject teachers to ensure inclusive learning.
- Recommend suitable classroom accommodations and teaching strategies.
- Support teachers in understanding and addressing individual student needs.




- Participate in student review and academic planning meetings.

Assessment & Progress Tracking

- Conduct observations and informal assessments to identify learning gaps.
- Maintain individual student records and intervention plans.
- Track academic and behavioural progress regularly.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and communicate observations to the school leadership.

Parent Coordination

- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and areas requiring support.
- Provide practical suggestions for learning support at home.
- Participate in parent meetings and student review discussions.

School Responsibilities

- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Participate in school events, meetings, workshops, and career development activities.
- Contribute to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.
- Follow Dreamtime Learning's policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- B.Ed. in Special Education / M.Ed. in Special Education / Diploma in Special Education.
- RCI registration/certification will be an advantage where applicable.
- Prior experience working with children in a school or inclusive education environment is preferred.

Skills Required

- Strong understanding of special education and inclusive learning.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a child-centric approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents.
- Strong observation, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Ability to develop customized learning strategies.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to use a laptop for documentation and student tracking.

Preferred Experience

1–3 years of experience as a Special Educator in a school, learning centre, or inclusive education environment.

Pay: ₹10,080.66 - ₹30,000.00 per month
