Job Description:
We are looking for a **qualified and experienced Advocate** to handle legal matters relating to **Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)** and overseas clients. The candidate will be responsible for providing legal assistance, handling client consultations, coordinating with Indian authorities, and managing litigation and documentation related to NRI legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle **NRI-related legal matters** including civil, family, property, matrimonial, succession, and documentation matters.
Provide legal consultations to NRI clients through **phone, video calls, and online communication**.
Draft and review **legal notices, petitions, agreements, affidavits, applications, and other legal documents**.
Handle **property-related disputes, property management issues, inheritance, partition, and succession matters** involving NRIs.
Assist NRI clients in matters relating to **Power of Attorney, sale/purchase of property, registration, and documentation**.
Handle and follow up on **court cases, police complaints, government/registry proceedings, and other legal proceedings**.
Coordinate with clients residing overseas and maintain timely communication regarding case developments.
Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies based on applicable laws and judicial precedents.
Coordinate with senior advocates, government authorities, court registry, and other professionals whenever required.
Maintain proper **case records, hearing schedules, deadlines, and client documentation**.
Ensure professional, confidential, and timely handling of all client matters.
Required Qualifications:
**LL.B. / B.L. degree** from a recognized institution.
Valid **Bar Council enrolment**.
Minimum **2 years of relevant experience** in legal practice.
Strong knowledge of Indian civil, family, property, and procedural laws.
Prior experience in handling **NRI / overseas client matters** will be an advantage.
Good legal drafting, research, and communication skills.
Ability to independently manage assigned matters and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Excellent **English communication skills**, both written and verbal.
Good client-handling and professional communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients in different time zones.
Strong legal research and drafting abilities.
Proficiency in **MS Office, e-mail, video conferencing, eCourts, and online legal research platforms**.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information professionally.
