The opportunity
orgnization is a leading investment recovery and personal finance company. We are looking for an entrepreneurial investment professional to create and scale our mutual fund and investment-products vertical. This is a hands-on builder role: the person will shape the proposition, establish compliant operating processes, develop AMC/platform partnerships, acquire and serve clients, build the team, and own business outcomes.
What you will own
Vertical strategy and launch: translate the company’s client base and brand strengths into a phased mutual-fund distribution plan, target segments, product proposition, pricing/revenue model and 12–24-month operating roadmap.
Business growth: own gross sales, net sales, SIP book, assets under management (AUM), trail revenue, client activation, retention and cross-sell targets.
Client acquisition and advisory-led sales: build funnels across existing clients, referrals, digital campaigns, partnerships and corporate/community channels; conduct need and risk-profile discussions without mis-selling.
Product and research framework: establish a documented, objective process for product due diligence, fund comparison, model portfolios, review cadence and client communication; coordinate with qualified specialists where regulated advice is required.
Partnerships: build working relationships with AMCs, registrars/RTAs, transaction platforms,
KYC service providers and other ecosystem partners; negotiate commercial and service arrangements.
Operations and client experience: design onboarding, KYC, transaction, service-request, reconciliation, reporting, complaint-handling and escalation workflows; use CRM/MIS discipline to make the business scalable.
Compliance and controls: work with management and external compliance/legal advisers to maintain applicable NISM/AMFI requirements, disclosures, record keeping, data privacy and sales-practice controls.
Team building: recruit, train, coach and manage relationship/sales and operations staff as volumes grow; build scripts, playbooks, review routines and incentive structures.
Management reporting: present a concise monthly vertical P&L; and funnel review, including AUM, SIPs, revenue, conversion, productivity, retention, client complaints, compliance exceptions and next actions.
Candidate profile
Experience: 6–9 years in mutual fund distribution, wealth management, investment-product sales or a closely related fintech/broking environment, including at least 2 years owning a team, channel, geography or business line.
Track record: Quantifiable evidence of growing AUM/SIP book or revenue, activating acquisition channels,
improving retention and building productive AMC/distributor/client relationships.
Knowledge: Robust understanding of mutual fund categories, suitability, risk profiling, KYC/AML, transaction lifecycle, service operations, trail economics and relevant distribution regulations.
Credentials: Graduate degree required; MBA/PGDM in Finance, CFP or CFA is preferred. Valid NISM Series V-A certification and AMFI/ARN readiness are strongly preferred and must be obtained/maintained where the role’s activities require them.
Working style: Founder’s mindset, high ownership, commercial judgment, ethical sales orientation, strong written and verbal communication, comfort with targets, and willingness to execute personally before building a team.
Tools: Strong Excel/Google Sheets and CRM/MIS capability; able to define dashboards, analyse funnels and turn data into weekly actions.
Success measures
First 30 days: submit market map, business case, compliance/partner dependency map, target-customer definition and 12-month launch plan.
By 60 days: finalise priority partners and operating workflows; establish product/research and sales-governance playbooks; launch a controlled client pilot.
By 90 days: demonstrate a measurable funnel and initial AUM/SIP traction; implement weekly MIS, service controls and a hiring/scale plan.
Ongoing: deliver agreed AUM, SIP, revenue, retention and client-experience targets while maintaining clean audit/compliance outcomes.
Pay: ₹1,030,406.31 - ₹1,691,790.84 per year
Work Location: In person
