We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Accountant for our plant nursery. This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery store, manage inventory, and ensure smooth accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong managerial and financial skills with a passion for plants and gardening.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accounting and Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate financial records for daily transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses.
- Prepare and review invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Process payroll for nursery staff and ensure timely payments.
- Assist with budget planning and cost analysis to improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Inventory Control:
- Track inventory levels and manage reordering processes.
- Conduct regular stock audits and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Develop and implement inventory management systems for better efficiency.
- Work closely with the purchasing department to monitor stock levels and adjust purchasing strategies.
- Sales and Marketing Support:
- Assist in developing promotional campaigns for the nursery store.
- Track sales trends and provide recommendations for improvement.




- Ensure the store meets sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.
- Reporting:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and sales reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management for decision-making.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an Accountant, or similar role in a retail environment (experience in plant nurseries is a plus).
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for plants and gardening is highly desirable.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a retail management or accounting position (preferably in a nursery or garden center) is advantageous.
