About Shub Studios Shub Studios is a startup at the beginning of its journey, with a long-term vision of building a successful entertainment and content production company. Our vision is to produce our own movies, explore movie distribution, and build an audience of one million viewers. As the first step toward this vision, we are starting our YouTube podcast and interview content. We are looking for a cameraman who is interested in being part of this early-stage journey and helping us build our video production from the ground up.

About the Role Shub Studios is looking for a Cameraman-cum-Video Editor who can independently handle the complete basic production of our YouTube podcasts and interviews. The selected candidate will be responsible for camera operation, professional lighting, audio recording, video editing, and preparation of the final video. Our podcast interviews will generally be conducted at the guest’s location, rather than only in a studio. The candidate must therefore be comfortable travelling to different cities and locations across Karnataka for recording. The candidate must own a suitable camera and be capable of arranging and operating the necessary production equipment.

Camera & Equipment Requirement Candidate must own a good-quality mirrorless or professional video camera suitable for YouTube podcast and interview recording. Preferred camera: Sony ZV-E10 II with 16–50mm power zoom lens, or an equivalent camera of similar or better quality. Preferred lens: A good-quality zoom lens suitable for professional interview recording, such as a 16–50mm or 18–50mm lens,



or an equivalent lens that provides flexibility for wide shots and close-ups. The camera should be capable of recording good-quality 4K video and should be suitable for recording both the anchor and guest in a professional interview format. One camera is sufficient for the initial podcast setup. A second camera may be added later as the production expands.

Lighting & Audio Requirement The candidate should be capable of arranging and operating proper lighting equipment required for professional podcast and interview recording. The candidate should also be capable of arranging and operating suitable microphones and audio recording equipment to ensure transparent recording of both anchor and guest. The company will provide travel, food, and accommodation for official shoots.

Key Responsibilities Record YouTube podcasts and interviews using your own camera. Travel across Karnataka to record interviews at guests’ locations. Set up and operate the camera, tripod, lighting, and audio equipment. Record anchors and guests in a professional interview format. Ensure proper framing of both the anchor and guest. Record wide shots, medium shots, and close-up shots as required. Ensure good video quality, focus, exposure, and smooth camera operation. Handle zooming and framing properly to capture the anchor and guest clearly. Record long-form YouTube videos and short-form content. Edit the recorded footage into a complete, professional-quality YouTube video. Create suitable short clips / reels from the podcast, where required. Add basic intro, outro, text, captions, and background music where required. Improve basic audio and video quality. Deliver the final edited video in a ready-to-publish format. Assist with YouTube uploads,



titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and other basic YouTube requirements, if capable. Coordinate with the producer, anchor, guests, and production team. Maintain and handle camera equipment responsibly. Ensure videos are recorded and delivered on time.

Requirements Own a suitable camera for professional YouTube recording. Good knowledge of camera operation and video recording. Good knowledge of lighting and audio recording. Experience in YouTube, podcast, interview, or similar video production preferred. Good video editing skills. Ability to independently handle camera, lighting, audio, recording, and editing. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Willingness to travel extensively across Karnataka for shoots. Must be comfortable recording at different locations, including guests’ homes, offices, studios, and other suitable venues. Interest in joining a startup and contributing to its early-stage growth.
