Job Description - Engineer/Jr.Engineer (Electrical Maintenance)

Position: Senior Engineer/Engineer - Electrical Maintenance

Department: Maintenance

Location: Sri City- Tada

Reporting To: Assistant Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior

Engineer/Engineer - Electrical Maintenance with strong exposure to the

automotive components manufacturing industry.

The candidate should possess extensive knowledge of electrical

maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous

improvement activities in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in working with CNC machines, automation systems, PLCs, and

industrial utilities will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance

* Ensure smooth operation of all electrical systems, machinery, and

equipment within the plant.

* Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of

production equipment.

* Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults to minimize machine

downtime.

* Maintain electrical panels, motors, drives, transformers, switchgear,

and distribution systems.

* Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory

requirements.

CNC Machine Maintenance

* Carry out electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC

machines.

* Coordinate with machine suppliers and service providers for major

breakdowns and technical support.

* Monitor machine performance and implement corrective actions to

improve reliability.

* Support machine installation, commissioning, and modifications.

Automation & Control Systems

* Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, sensors,

and industrial automation systems.

* Assist in automation projects and process improvements.

* Support production teams in achieving optimum machine utilization and

productivity.

Utility Management

* Monitor and maintain plant utilities such as compressors, DG sets,

transformers, lighting systems, and power distribution networks.





* Ensure uninterrupted power supply and effective energy utilization.

* Implement energy-saving initiatives and monitor energy consumption.

Continuous Improvement

* Analyse recurring equipment failures and implement root cause

corrective actions.

* Participate in TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.

* Maintain maintenance records, reports, and equipment history cards.

* Support cost reduction and operational excellence initiatives.

Safety & Compliance

* Ensure adherence to EHS policies and electrical safety practices.

* Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments related to electrical

systems.

* Support internal and external audits.

Qualification

* Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

* Additional certifications in PLC, Automation, or Industrial

Electrical Systems will be an added advantage.

Experience

* 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Electrical Maintenance within

the Automotive Components Manufacturing Industry.

* Hands-on experience with CNC machines is highly preferred.

* Experience in handling industrial automation systems and

manufacturing equipment.

Technical Skills

Bradley, etc.)
