Project Background

Our client is in the initial stages of implementing Microsoft Fabric and is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to support data migration, integration, modernization, and Microsoft Fabric implementation activities.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python, data pipelines, Power BI, and Azure services.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer with 6+ years of data engineering experience and strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python, data pipelines, and Power BI.

The ideal candidate should have at least one major Microsoft Fabric implementation experience and be capable of providing practical technical job support for data engineering, migration, integration, automation, and troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide part-time technical job support for Microsoft Fabric implementation activities.
- Design, develop, and maintain data integrations, automation, and SQL data warehouses in Microsoft Fabric.
- Work with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse and Data Warehouse components.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and orchestration workflows.
- Modernize legacy data pipelines and databases by migrating them to Microsoft Fabric.
- Migrate and integrate Power BI workspaces with Microsoft Fabric.




- Develop SQL data models, complex SQL queries, transformations, and data integration processes.
- Build Python-based data engineering solutions and automation.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Implement source-code management and deployment processes for data integration, warehouse, and orchestration components.
- Integrate SQL data warehouses with enterprise/vendor platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle Fusion Cloud, Workday, ADP, and Salesforce.
- Implement data quality monitoring, pipeline monitoring, automation, RBAC, and privacy controls.
- Apply well-architected principles for scalability, reliability, security, operational excellence, and cost optimization.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
- Support data migration, validation, testing, and production deployment.
- Maintain technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
- Follow disciplined change-management processes and support SOX compliance requirements.

Mandatory Skills

- 6+ years of Data Engineering experience – Required
- Microsoft Fabric experience – Required
- Minimum 1+ year of hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience.
- At least one major Microsoft Fabric implementation experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse




- Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse
- SQL
- Python
- Data pipelines and orchestration
- Power BI integration
- Strong SQL data modeling and query-development skills.
- Experience migrating or modernizing legacy data platforms to Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with Power BI workspace migration to Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Experience integrating data warehouses with enterprise applications/vendor platforms.
- Experience with data quality, RBAC, privacy controls, pipeline monitoring, and automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.

Vendor / Enterprise Integration Experience

Experience integrating data warehouses or data platforms with one or more of the following is highly preferred:

- NetSuite
- Oracle Fusion Cloud
- Workday
- ADP
- Salesforce

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

- Hands-on experience with dbt.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Experience with Azure Storage.
- Experience with Azure SQL Database.

- Experience with Snowflake.
- GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Data governance and security.
- Data quality frameworks and monitoring.

Job Support Engagement

- Part-time Job Support role
- 2–3 hours per day
- Monday to Friday
- ₹35,000 monthly compensation
- Flexible working hours can be discussed based on project requirements.
- Candidate should be available consistently during the agreed working schedule.
- The role requires hands-on practical experience, not just theoretical knowledge.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 per month
