Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tool Designer with strong expertise in Siemens NX (UG NX) to design and develop progressive dies, press tools, forming tools, trim dies, welding fixtures, and assembly tooling for automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design 3D models, die assemblies, strip layouts, and 2D manufacturing drawings using NX.
- Prepare BOMs, GD&T;, tolerance specifications, heat-treatment, and surface-finishing notes.
- Conduct feasibility and DFMA reviews with Tool Room, Production, and Quality teams.
- Support tool trials, first article inspection, and troubleshooting during try-outs and production.
- Coordinate with vendors and CAM teams to ensure accurate, manufacturable, and version-controlled outputs.
- Contribute to tooling standardization, tool life improvement, and preventive maintenance inputs.

Requirements





- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, or Tool Design.
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in automotive tooling and progressive die design.
- Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX (UG NX).
- Experience with progressive dies, transfer dies, and welding/assembly fixtures.
- Knowledge of press tooling, die materials, heat treatment, springback compensation, GD&T;, and tolerance stack-up.
- Familiarity with CAM, EDM, hard milling, and vendor coordination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on shop-floor exposure.

Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD/Creo, stamping simulation, PLM/PDM systems, and major automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
