1. Financial Strategy & Business Planning
- Develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy.
- Work closely with the MD/CEO and management on business and investment decisions.
- Prepare long-term financial plans, budgets and growth strategies.
- Evaluate recent business opportunities, expansion plans and investments.
- Analyse profitability by product category, customer, branch, channel and business segment.
- Provide financial recommendations to improve profitability and reduce unnecessary costs.
2. Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee the complete accounting and finance function.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing.
- Prepare and review P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and other financial statements.
- Ensure proper accounting of gold, diamonds, gemstones, silver and finished jewellery.
- Monitor product-wise, order-wise and branch-wise costing and profitability.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation between ERP, books of accounts and physical inventory.
- Establish strong accounting policies and financial controls.
3. Jewellery Inventory & Cost Control
- Oversee valuation and accounting of high-value jewellery inventory.
- Monitor inventory by karat, purity, weight, category, SKU and product type.
- Control raw gold, bullion, diamonds, gemstones, WIP and finished goods.
- Monitor manufacturing costs, labour charges, wastage, making charges and other production costs.
- Conduct regular stock reconciliation and inventory audits.
- Identify inventory losses, discrepancies, dead stock and slow-moving inventory.
- Monitor inventory turnover and optimise working capital.
- Work closely with production, purchase and sales teams to control costs.
4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly cash-flow forecasts.
- Manage the company's working capital cycle.
- Monitor receivables, payables, customer advances and vendor payments.
- Ensure adequate liquidity for gold/diamond procurement and business operations.
- Develop credit-control policies for B2B customers.
- Monitor overdue receivables and improve collection efficiency.
- Optimise utilisation of working capital without affecting business operations.
5. Banking & Treasury Management
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Negotiate CC/OD limits, working-capital facilities, term loans and other financial facilities.
- Monitor bank limits, interest costs, securities and repayment schedules.
- Handle bank documentation, stock statements and financial reporting requirements.
- Explore suitable funding options for business expansion.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure and international payments wherever applicable.
- Maintain optimum cash and bank balances.
6. Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
- Prepare monthly management MIS and financial dashboards.
- Provide reports on:
- Sales & gross margins
- Product profitability
- Branch profitability
- Inventory turnover
- Working capital
- Receivables & payables
- Cash flow
- Purchase and manufacturing costs
- Employee costs
- Operating expenses
- Analyse actual performance against budget and provide corrective action plans.
- Provide management with actionable financial insights.
7. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure complete compliance with applicable taxation and corporate regulations.
- Oversee GST, TDS, income tax and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and statutory authorities.
- Ensure timely filing of all returns and statutory documents.
- Manage tax planning and identify legitimate opportunities for tax optimisation.
- Ensure proper documentation for jewellery purchases, sales, imports and exports.
- Keep the company updated on changes in taxation and regulatory requirements.
8. Audit & Governance
- Coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits.
- Ensure timely preparation of audit schedules and supporting documents.
- Work with auditors to resolve observations and implement corrective actions.
- Establish strong financial governance and internal-control systems.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable corporate laws.
- Present financial performance and key issues to management/Board.
9. Internal Controls & SOPs
- Develop and implement finance-related SOPs.
- Establish controls for:
- Jewellery purchases
- Gold procurement
- Diamond procurement
- Sales
- Customer advances
- Vendor payments
- Cash handling
- Inventory movement
- Manufacturing
- Credit sales
- Employee expenses
- Identify financial and operational risks and implement preventive controls.
- Periodically review processes and strengthen controls.
10. Risk Management
- Identify and manage financial risks associated with gold, diamonds and foreign currency.
- Monitor exposure to commodity price fluctuations.
- Develop appropriate risk-mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage for jewellery inventory, premises and transit.
- Monitor credit risks relating to customers and business partners.
11. ERP & Finance Automation
- Ensure effective use of ERP/accounting systems across finance, inventory, purchase and sales.
- Improve integration between ERP, POS, inventory and accounting systems.
- Automate MIS and management reporting wherever possible.
- Ensure data accuracy and proper financial controls within the ERP.
- Lead finance-process improvements and digitalisation initiatives.
12. Team Leadership
- Lead and manage the Accounts, Finance, Taxation, Audit and MIS teams.
- Define responsibilities, KPIs and performance standards.
- Review team performance and improve productivity.
- Train the team on accounting, taxation, ERP and compliance requirements.
- Build a strong and accountable finance team.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
