At Scalex, a Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions using Java and Spring Boot. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust APIs, optimize performance, and ensure seamless integration with cloud services and databases.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain software services and libraries that support customer supply chains and customer-facing operations.
- Collaborate with executives and product managers to determine the best technical solutions to address customer problems.
- Document systems and code for team use, including models and diagrams.
- Conduct unit and load testing to ensure software correctness, performance, and scalability.
- Debug production issues to restore customer operations promptly.
- Understand requirements, seek clarity when necessary, and develop high-quality code.
- Analyze code to identify and correct errors; assess user needs to determine technical requirements.




- Participate in software design and project meetings, providing timely updates on progress, risks, and issues.
- Join the on-call rotation for support issues during business hours.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

- Strong background in Java.
- Experience with Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs.
- Database management experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Basic knowledge of infrastructure tools such as S3, SNS, SQS, and Lambda.
- Experience with automated test creation.
- Intermediate skills in Excel and data manipulation.
- Ability to read and understand third-party documentation and build APIs to those specifications

Personal Skills

- Python scripting experience
- Experience with low-latency systems
- Familiarity with AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Solid Git skills for version control
