Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Physical Education & Sports Teaching
- Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons for students across different age groups.
- Teach sports skills, fitness activities, athletics, games, and physical education concepts.
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
- Encourage active participation and enjoyment of sports among all students.
- Adapt activities according to students’ abilities, interests, and fitness levels.
- Promote inclusive participation for students with different physical abilities.
2. Sports Coaching & Training
- Train students in sports such as football, basketball, cricket, volleyball, badminton, athletics, swimming, or other school-approved sports.
- Identify students’ sporting talents and provide advanced coaching.
- Conduct regular practice sessions and fitness training.
- Prepare students for inter-school, national, and international-level competitions, where applicable.
- Develop students’ technical skills, game strategies, and competitive spirit.
- Monitor and evaluate individual student performance.
3. Sports Curriculum & Lesson Planning
- Prepare weekly and term-wise sports lesson plans.
- Align sports activities with the international school curriculum, such as IB, Cambridge, or another approved curriculum, as applicable.
- Integrate physical education with student learning, health, fitness, and well-being.
- Maintain appropriate progression of skills across grade levels.
- Introduce new sports and innovative physical activities.
4. Student Safety & Supervision
- Ensure student safety during sports classes, practices, and competitions.
- Inspect sports grounds, equipment, and facilities before activities.
- Follow school safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Provide proper warm-up and cool-down exercises.
- Monitor students for fatigue, injury, or health concerns.
- Report accidents and injuries promptly to the concerned school authorities.
- Ensure proper supervision during outdoor and indoor activities.
5. Sports Events & Competitions
- Organize and coordinate Annual Sports Day, athletics meets, and sports competitions.
- Plan inter-house and inter-school tournaments.
- Conduct sports activities during school events and celebrations.
- Coordinate with other schools, sports associations, and event organizers when approved.
- Manage student participation, team selection, fixtures, and event schedules.
- Support sports award ceremonies and recognition of student achievements.
6. Student Development & Sportsmanship
- Develop teamwork, discipline, leadership, and communication skills.
- Promote fair play, respect, integrity, and positive sportsmanship.
- Encourage students to build confidence and self-discipline.
- Motivate students to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.
- Guide students in setting personal fitness and sporting goals.
- Create a positive and encouraging sports environment.
7. Equipment & Sports Facilities Management
- Maintain proper records of sports equipment and inventory.
- Ensure sports equipment is used safely and responsibly.
- Report damaged or missing equipment to the management.
- Coordinate with the administration for purchase and maintenance of sports materials.
- Keep sports stores, grounds, and activity areas clean and organized.
- Monitor the availability of first-aid and safety equipment.
8. Assessment & Student Records
- Assess students’ physical fitness, sports skills, and participation.
- Maintain student performance records and progress reports.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Prepare sports-related report cards and assessment records.
- Identify students who need additional support or advanced training.
- Submit regular sports activity reports to the Academic Coordinator / Principal.
9. School Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with class teachers, coordinators, and school management.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school activities.
- Communicate students’ sports performance and concerns to parents when required.
- Follow school policies, professional conduct, and safeguarding procedures.
- Support school assemblies, celebrations, and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain punctuality, attendance, and qualified discipline.
10. International School Expectations
- Promote global-mindedness through international sports and teamwork.
- Encourage respect for cultural diversity and different sporting traditions.
- Use student-centered and inquiry-based activities where relevant to the curriculum.
- Develop communication and collaboration skills through sports.
- Follow international school standards for child protection, inclusion, and student well-being.
- Encourage participation in international sports events and exchange opportunities, where available.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
