Die Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Die Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying stamping dies, tooling, and fixtures to ensure uninterrupted production, consistent part quality, and protected plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair: Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble progressive, line, transfer, and stamping dies.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose tooling issues on and off the press, including burrs, dimensional non-conformances, misfeeds, and tool wear.

Machining & Fabrication: Operate toolroom machinery—including surface grinders, lathes, milling machines, and drill presses—to manufacture or modify replacement die components.

Preventive Maintenance (PM):



Execute scheduled PM routines on production tooling; log tool history, maintenance records, and spare parts usage.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education/Certification: ITI / Diploma mechanical or tool room

Technical Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in die maintenance, tool repair, or toolmaking within a manufacturing environment.

Toolroom Skills: Proficiency in reading engineering drawings/blueprints, using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators), and manual machine operation.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
