We are looking for an experienced HR Compliance Manager to manage and ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, company policies, and HR regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, statutory compliance, audits, documentation, and HR processes.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate compliance across all applicable statutory requirements while supporting internal and external audits and maintaining proper HR compliance records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end HR and labour law compliance across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS, Gratuity, Bonus, Shops & Establishments, Payment of Wages, Minimum Wages, and other applicable labour laws.
- Monitor statutory due dates and ensure timely filing, payment, and submission of required returns.
- Maintain and regularly update statutory registers, records, employee documentation, and compliance reports.
- Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate statutory deductions and remittances.
- Conduct periodic HR compliance audits and identify compliance gaps and risks.
- Support internal, statutory, labour department, and client/vendor audits.
- Prepare compliance MIS, dashboards, trackers, and management reports.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are aligned with applicable labour laws and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor changes in labour legislation and communicate relevant updates to management.
- Coordinate with consultants, legal advisors, government authorities, and external agencies whenever required.
- Handle labour law notices, inspections, queries, and compliance-related correspondence.
- Ensure proper maintenance of employee personnel files and statutory documentation.
- Support implementation of recent HR compliance processes and systems.
- Provide guidance to HR teams and managers on compliance-related matters.
- Ensure compliance related to employee onboarding, transfers, exits, full & final settlement, and separation documentation.
- Identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Law, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in HR compliance / labour law compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Gratuity, Bonus, labour welfare, and statutory returns.
- Experience handling compliance audits and inspections.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and HRMS/payroll systems.
- Ability to manage multiple compliance activities and statutory deadlines independently.
Preferred
- Experience in handling multi-location or large employee populations.
- Experience working with statutory consultants and auditors.
- Knowledge of HRMS and payroll platforms.
- Professional certification in Labour Law / HR Compliance will be an advantage.
Pay: Up to ₹75,000.00 per month
