Job Description

Sr. Data Engineer Role Summary We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer / Backend Engineer with strong experience in Python and cloud-native technologies to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and distributed systems. The ideal candidate should have experience working with ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration tools, AWS cloud services, data visualization, and modern data architecture. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to support data processing and analytics workflows. • Build and manage distributed and event-driven architectures for large-scale data processing. • Develop backend services and data infrastructure using Python and cloud-native technologies. • Implement and maintain DAG-based workflow orchestration using tools like Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster. • Work with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, SQS, CloudWatch, and Application Migration Service (AWS MGN/AMC) to build and manage scalable cloud solutions. • Design and optimize data models and schema structures for productive data storage and retrieval. • Develop and maintain analytics and visualization solutions using Amazon QuickSight, including dashboards, reports, datasets, and data integrations. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)



for automated deployment and infrastructure management. • Monitor and maintain data systems using observability and monitoring tools. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, ML engineers, and backend developers to support data-driven applications. • Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives using appropriate AWS migration and cloud-native services. Mandatory Skills • Strong proficiency in Python. Knowledge of Golang or Rust is a plus. • Experience with cloud-native architecture, including Docker and Kubernetes. • Hands-on experience with distributed and event-driven architectures. • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines. • Solid understanding of data modeling and schema design. • Experience with DAG orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster. • Experience with AWS services, including Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, SQS, and CloudWatch. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • Experience with Amazon QuickSight for data visualization, dashboards, reporting, or analytics. Good to Have • Experience with AWS Application Migration Service (AWS MGN/AMC) or similar cloud migration technologies. • Experience with task schedulers such as Prefect or Dagster. • Exposure to Logstash or similar data ingestion frameworks.



• Experience with OpenSearch / Elasticsearch or similar search technologies. • Knowledge of compiled languages such as C/C++ or Java. • Familiarity with the MLOps lifecycle. • Experience with vector databases or embedding pipelines. • Exposure to large-scale indexing and search optimization strategies. • Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis. • Familiarity with Natural Language Search, RAG architectures, and GenAI-related technologies, including knowledge graphs, prompt engineering, and embedding models. • Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack. • Advanced experience with Amazon QuickSight, including calculated fields, datasets, dashboard development, and integration with AWS data sources.
