Video Editor (Contract, Remote)

Latelogic is an app studio in Calicut. We build and ship consumer and developer products across iOS, Android, web and Shopify. We need an editor to cut the video that sells them.

What you'll do

- Edit short-form product videos: app demos, feature walkthroughs, launch clips, ads
- Turn raw screen recordings and screen captures into tight, watchable cuts
- Add motion graphics, captions, transitions, and sound design that fit each product's tone
- Resize and re-cut a single edit for App Store previews, Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, and landing pages
- Produce light photo/graphic work when a thumbnail or store asset is needed
- Work from a brief, deliver a first cut rapid, and iterate on feedback

What we're looking for

- Solid command of an editing suite (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, After Effects, DaVinci or Resolve)
- An eye for pacing — you know when a cut is two seconds too long
- Comfort with motion graphics and kinetic text
- Basic photo editing and manipulation (Photoshop or equivalent)




- Reliable turnaround and clear communication over async messages
- A portfolio or reel. This matters more than years of experience.

Nice to have

- Prior work editing for software, SaaS, or mobile apps
- Familiarity with app store video specs and social platform aspect ratios
- Sound design and music selection instincts

- 6-month contract, remote, flexible hours
- From ₹12,000 per month

Shortlisted applicants will be assigned a short paid editing task using footage we provide. It's a real product clip, not a trick question — we want to see how you cut, not how you interview. Expect a 2–3 day turnaround. Final decisions are based on the task.
