KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Procurement & Purchase Management

- Manage the complete procurement process from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) and delivery.
- Procure raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, spare parts, chemicals, engineering items, and other plant requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production interruptions.
- Plan purchases according to production requirements, inventory levels, and lead times.
- Ensure procurement is carried out as per approved specifications and company policies.

2. Vendor Management

- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop reliable suppliers.
- Maintain a strong vendor network for critical materials and services.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit periods, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms.
- Monitor vendor performance related to quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Develop alternate suppliers to reduce dependency and procurement risk.

3. Cost Control & Negotiation

- Drive cost savings through effective negotiation and vendor development.
- Regularly benchmark market prices and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Compare quotations and prepare commercial evaluations before finalizing suppliers.
- Ensure procurement is done at competitive market rates without compromising quality.
- Track procurement savings and cost-reduction initiatives.

4. Inventory & Material Planning

- Coordinate with Production and Stores teams to understand material requirements.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid overstocking or stock-outs.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and reorder points.
- Track slow-moving, non-moving, and excess inventory.
- Plan procurement based on consumption trends and production forecasts.

5. Quality & Compliance

- Coordinate with the Quality/QA team to ensure purchased materials meet approved specifications.
- Ensure proper documentation such as COA, specifications, test reports, and compliance certificates wherever required.




- Address quality-related vendor issues and ensure corrective actions.
- Follow company procurement procedures, approval matrices, and documentation requirements.

6. Plant & Engineering Procurement

- Manage procurement of plant machinery spares, maintenance items, electrical items, mechanical components, tools, PPE, and other engineering requirements.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance/Engineering team for urgent and critical spare requirements.
- Maintain supplier databases for critical machinery and technical items.

7. Coordination & Documentation

- Coordinate closely with Production, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, and Accounts.
- Ensure timely creation and closure of POs.
- Track pending orders and expected delivery dates.
- Verify invoices and resolve discrepancies between PO, GRN, and invoices.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor quotations, comparative statements, and purchase reports.

8. Reporting

Prepare and submit regular reports covering:

- Purchase orders raised and pending
- Material availability
- Vendor performance
- Purchase price variance
- Cost savings
- Inventory status
- Outstanding deliveries
- Critical and urgent procurement requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Good knowledge of procurement and supply-chain processes
- Solid understanding of manufacturing plant requirements
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Analytical and cost-conscious approach
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Purchase software
- Ability to handle urgent procurement requirements
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and procurement activities simultaneously

QUALIFICATION

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
- MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations will be an advantage.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Candidates with experience in Dairy, FMCG, Food Processing, Beverage, Manufacturing, or similar industries will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
