ABOUT THE GLOBAL VOICE

The Global Voice is an independent media house, covering the world for a global English-speaking audience from an Indian perspective.

We built TGV because most global coverage of the world runs through a Western lens by default. We think India has a distinct, credible point of view on how the world works, and our video needs to carry that with the same rigour as the writing.

This is an in-office role. You'll be editing daily video content, long-form YouTube pieces, short-form social cuts, interviews, and dispatches, at a volume and pace that demands real experience, not someone still learning the ropes. This is a senior role. We need someone who can take raw footage and turn it into something sharp with minimal direction.

DESIGNATION: JUNIOR / SENIOR VIDEO EDITOR (The designation will be decided based on the years of experience)

SALARY: Upto ₹5.4 LPA (Upto ₹45,000/month), along with performance-based incentives

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years of proven, full-time professional work experience. Freelance work and internships do not count toward this requirement.

Work from Office: 6 days

IMMEDIATE JOINING IN GOA.

This is a senior role and is not open to freshers or candidates without full-time editing experience under this requirement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Edit long-form YouTube videos,



short-form social content, interviews, and daily dispatches
- Take raw, unstructured footage and shape it into a clear, compelling narrative independently
- Maintain a consistent visual and pacing style across all video output
- Work closely with correspondents, the social media team, and graphic designers to turn stories into finished video
- Manage multiple projects at different stages simultaneously without dropping quality or deadlines
- Mentor or guide junior editors as the video team grows
- Meet daily deadlines, every day, without being followed up

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Minimum 3 years of full-time, skilled video editing experience, freelance and internship experience will not be counted
- A strong portfolio or reel showing range, long-form, short-form, interviews, and fast-turnaround news content
- Command of professional editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent) and a solid grasp of colour, sound, and pacing
- The judgment to make independent editorial and creative calls on a cut without needing every decision approved
- Speed without sacrificing quality, you can handle a genuine daily volume of output
- You can join us in Goa immediately

WHO WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR

- People whose experience is primarily freelance gigs or internships
- People who need heavy creative direction to produce a usable cut
- People who can't manage multiple projects at once
- People who treat deadlines as suggestions
