We're looking for a creative, people-first Events and Community Builder to transform our store into a vibrant local hub for tea lovers, artists, and creators.

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Events and Community Builder to design, organize, and host experiential events that celebrate tea culture while fostering a loyal community around the Mittal Teas brand. You will be the driving force behind our store's social calendar, planning everything from Tea & Poetry evenings to Tea & Pottery workshops, with the aim of increasing foot traffic, brand visibility, and sales.

Key Responsibilities

- Event Planning & Execution: Conceptualize, plan, and host recurring in-store events, including:
- Tea & Poetry evenings
- Tea & Networking mixers
- Tea & Pottery workshops
- Tea-brewing masterclasses ("Art of Brewing Tea")
- Seasonal or themed tea tastings and pop-ups

- Community Building: Cultivate a loyal and engaged community of regulars, local artists, poets, entrepreneurs, and tea enthusiasts.
- Partnerships & Outreach: Identify and collaborate with local poets, potters, musicians, and small businesses to co-host events and cross-promote audiences.
- Marketing Coordination: Coordinate social media promotion and content creation (photos/reels) to drive event registrations.
- Logistics Management: Handle all aspects of event logistics, including scheduling, guest lists/RSVPs, setup, vendor coordination,



and budgeting.
- Sales Integration: Design events with clear connections to store offerings (e.g., tea tastings leading to purchases, loyalty sign-ups, merchandise promotion) to drive revenue.
- Customer Experience: Ensure every event reflects Mittal Teas' brand voice and delivers a warm, memorable guest experience.
- Feedback & Iteration: Collect attendee feedback and track event performance (attendance, sales impact, repeat visitors) to continuously improve programming.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, community management, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills; comfortable engaging with artists, creatives, and diverse community members.
- A genuine passion for tea culture or a strong willingness to become knowledgeable about tea.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and timelines concurrently.
- Basic social media and content creation skills (e.g., Instagram, Canva) are advantageous.
- A creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics and experience design.
- Comfortable with public speaking or hosting/emceeing small group events.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules.

Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working with local artist and creative communities.
- Background in food & beverage, hospitality, or retail.
- Basic knowledge of tea brewing techniques.
- Photography or videography skills for event content creation.
