About the Role

As a core member of our technical team, you will focus on ensuring the robust operation, innovative design, efficient building, and comprehensive support of our enterprise cloud infrastructure platform, specifically tailored for SAP workloads on AWS. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in AWS core services and system operations within production cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

- AWS Services Expertise: Apply hands-on experience with a range of AWS services, including EC2, Backup, Lambda, CloudWatch, Config, CloudTrail, IAM, KMS, and CloudFormation.
- SAP Workload Support: Provide expert support for SAP systems on AWS, encompassing cluster management, database administration (HANA, Oracle), and High Availability (HA) management.
- Security Implementation: Implement and enforce security policies and controls (e.g., CIS benchmarks, malware protection, anti-virus solutions, secret management) utilizing AWS services.
- Automation: Drive automation of AWS service deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation and Terraform, leveraging strong scripting skills in Python (for Lambda functions)



and Bash Shell.
- Linux Administration: Administer and maintain Linux servers (RHEL preferred), including patch management, volume management, firewall configuration, route table management, kernel management, and comprehensive OS troubleshooting.
- Configuration Management: Deploy and effectively utilize configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible to ensure system consistency.
- Networking: Demonstrate strong proficiency in fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, IP routing, NAT, firewalls) and manage essential network services (DNS, LDAP, HTTP proxies).
- Security Practices: Possess a deep understanding of IT security practices, with a particular focus on OS hardening techniques.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standards, methodologies, and system/application architecture drawings.
- Troubleshooting: Act as an elevated L2/L3 escalation contact, providing critical support for production issues.
- Change Management: Strictly adhere to change management protocols when executing service requests and system modifications.
- Continuous Improvement:



Proactively drive automation initiatives to streamline platform operations, enhance efficiency and reliability, and continuously elevate cloud services for SAP and Web Applications, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaboration: Work effectively within a diverse, multinational team to deliver world-class cloud services.
- Strategy & Optimization: Participate in the design and implementation of strategies aimed at optimizing customer experience and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
- Experience: 6-8 years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Services and Linux Administration.
- Education: A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
- Certifications: Mandatory RHEL and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of web servers (Apache, NGINX, IIS, etc.).
- Basic understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Git CLI).

This pivotal role is integral to an SAP project hosted on an AWS cloud environment, featuring multiple RHEL Linux instances configured for High Availability.
