Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller for a 4-month contract to provide loan staffing support. This pivotal role involves managing end-to-end accounting operations, month-end close, MIS reporting, compliance, audit support, and process improvement. You will support a growing business with an annual turnover of INR 60-100 crore and a workforce exceeding 700 employees. A key aspect of this position is supporting the migration from Tally ERP to Oracle Fusion, including reporting automation and dashboard development.

This role requires working primarily on-site at our Hyderabad office during India shift hours.

Key Responsibilities

As Finance Controller, your responsibilities will include:

- Manage and improve monthly, quarterly, and annual book closure activities, aiming to reduce the close timeline from the 15th to the 5th of the month.
- Prepare and review comprehensive MIS reports, management reporting packs, financial statements, cash-flow statements, and budget-versus-actual analyses with variance explanations.
- Oversee accounts payable, vendor accounting, accounts receivable, billing, collections support, payroll accounting, general ledger accounting, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate tax and statutory compliance activities, providing supervisory review.
- Support external statutory and internal audits, including preparing schedules, responding to queries, and tracking resolutions.
- Assist in the Oracle Fusion migration readiness, focusing on accounting process alignment, user requirements, reporting structures, and Oracle BI dashboard development.




- Drive process automation initiatives, including banking and reporting automation, to enhance finance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with the CFO and in-house finance lead for reviews, approvals, and escalations.

Required Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance controllership, accounting operations, month-end closing, and MIS reporting, preferably in mid-sized or growth-stage companies.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion and Oracle BI reporting/dashboard development. Experience with Tally ERP and ERP migration projects is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP reporting requirements.
- Proven experience in AP, AR, payroll accounting, general ledger, reconciliations, statutory compliance coordination, and audit support.
- Demonstrated ability to design and document SOPs, internal controls, and process automation opportunities.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with CFO-level stakeholders.
- Capacity to independently manage a broad finance scope while adhering to client approval and review protocols.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing accounting operations in a listed-holding-company environment with a focus on current books and reporting discipline.
- Comfortable working primarily in office to facilitate close collaboration with the in-house finance team, enhance close timelines, strengthen processes, and support the Oracle Fusion transition.

Reporting Structure

This role reports to the client's finance leadership, with the CFO holding key approval authority. Manager-level review will provide quality control and support.
