Founding Full-Stack Engineer / Technical Lead — X.re

We are building X.re — an AI-first CRM built specifically for real estate companies.

X.re is not another generic CRM. It is being designed around the real estate sales funnel, with AI-powered WhatsApp conversations, AI voice, lead scoring, workflow automation and advertising intelligence built into the system.

The product is already being built and is currently being tested with a real estate pilot client.

We are now looking for a senior engineer who can take ownership of the existing codebase and help take it from AI-assisted development into a robust, production-ready SaaS product.

What you'll be doing

- Take ownership of an existing Next.js + TypeScript codebase.
- Understand the existing architecture, database structure, APIs and application flows.
- Conduct a thorough engineering review and identify production, security, scalability and reliability risks.
- Refactor and improve the code where required rather than blindly rewriting the system.
- Build and maintain production-quality frontend and backend features.
- Design and maintain APIs, database models and integrations.
- Work on a multi-tenant SaaS architecture where each real estate brand has its own workspace and data isolation.
- Work closely with AI/LLM-powered features including chat, voice and lead intelligence.
- Work on WhatsApp Business API integrations, webhooks and messaging infrastructure.
- Build reliable automation and workflow functionality.
- Implement proper authentication, authorization, data isolation, logging, monitoring and error handling.
- Help establish engineering standards, testing and deployment practices.
- Eventually build and lead the engineering team as X.re scales.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who has strong engineering judgment, not someone who simply knows a list of technologies.

You should be able to:

- Enter an unfamiliar codebase and understand it quickly.
- Identify what is well designed and what is technically risky.
- Take an MVP and turn it into production-grade software.




- Make pragmatic architectural decisions.
- Think about security, scalability, reliability and maintainability.
- Work independently and take ownership.
- Read and review code generated or assisted by AI.
- Know when AI-generated code is acceptable and when it needs to be redesigned.
- Build rather than just manage developers.

Technical requirements

Strong experience with:

- TypeScript
- Next.js / React
- Node.js
- REST APIs
- PostgreSQL / SQL
- Up-to-date SaaS application architecture
- Cloud deployment
- Git and production development workflows

Experience with the following is a strong advantage:

- AI/LLM applications
- WhatsApp Business API
- Webhooks
- Multi-tenant SaaS
- API integrations
- Docker
- AWS or similar cloud platforms
- CI/CD
- Observability and production monitoring

One important thing

This is not a greenfield project.

The existing product has been built significantly with AI-assisted development.

We are specifically looking for an engineer who is comfortable inheriting an existing codebase, understanding it deeply, challenging its assumptions, fixing what needs fixing, and taking responsibility for making it production-ready.

You will not be expected to rewrite everything just because it wasn't originally written by you.

Location

Hyderabad preferred. Remote candidates across India may be considered for the right candidate.

Compensation

₹20–35 LPA + ESOP

Compensation will depend on experience and level of ownership.
