The Officer – Security is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and protection of personnel, plant premises, materials, and assets. The role supports compliance with GMP, safety regulations, and company security policies by maintaining strict access control, monitoring activities, and responding effectively to emergencies or security incidents.

Duties:
- Control and monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors, and vehicles as per approved security and GMP procedures.
- Ensure protection of plant assets, raw materials, APIs, finished goods, documents, and equipment from theft, loss, or unauthorized access.
- Verify identity cards, visitor passes, vehicle permits, and material movement gate passes; maintain accurate security records and logs.
- Conduct routine and surprise security patrols across manufacturing blocks, warehouses, utilities, and perimeter areas.




- Operate and monitor CCTV surveillance systems and promptly identify, report, and act on any suspicious activities.
- Act as a first responder during emergencies such as fire, accidents, medical incidents, security breaches, or natural calamities, in coordination with EHS and management.
- Ensure strict adherence to security SOPs, GMP guidelines, safety policies, and statutory requirements relevant to pharmaceutical plants.
- Document and report all security incidents, deviations, near misses, and observations to concerned authorities and support investigations.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Production, QA, Warehouse, EHS, HR) and external agencies for smooth security operations.
- Supervise security guards, ensure discipline, provide on‑the‑job guidance, and maintain confidentiality of plant operations and sensitive information.
