Years of experience in general accounting, preferably within a multinational or large-scale organisation.

• Demonstrate excellent understanding of Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLookup, etc.)

• Possess analytical skills, attention to detail and willingness to solve problems when identified

• Demonstrate the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with global stakeholders.

• Fluency in spoken and written English

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP etc

• General Ledger accounting responsibilities during month close and year-end close

• Preparation of analysis and workings in relation to various GL accounts (accruals, prepaids etc)

• Prepare and upload journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications





• Account Analysis and analytical review of the various GL areas assigned to identify and explain significant fluctuations

• Preparation of the Bank Reconciliation statement through Cash Management System in Oracle

• Fixed Assets accounting for India Statutory books – IGAAP adjustments, depreciation run, preparation of India Statutory fixed assets register

• Preparation of various Balance Sheet reconciliations for the areas handled

• Process AP vendor invoices and payments in accordance with the approval matrix, internal controls, and company policies

• Review and validate AP accounting entries including expenses, accruals, provisions, and vendor postings

• Ensure strict compliance with Akamai's accounting Policies including SOX controls
