Job Description:

The AVP – BD would be responsible to spearhead growth initiatives and strategic partnerships in the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the insurance market (life), a proven track record in sales leadership, and strong industry relationships. This role will focus on driving revenue, expanding market presence, and leading high-impact business development strategies.

The incumbent will work closely with the Head - BD - to lead Business Development activities at Canara Head Office to enable achievement of set target, manage the Sales service proposition through Integration Initiatives and undertake all activities related to Business Development, Support Channel Partners MI requirements. Follow up with the Channel Partners and functions at CHL for timely completion of regulatory requirements, Sales Activity Management, Integration Initiatives CRM Leads. Individuals would be required to report progress on all Business Development and regulatory matters to Governing Board, EXCO and other forums.

Duties:
Desired qualifications and experience:





• MBA from a reputable institution.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in the life insurance industry, with a focus on sales and business development
• Proven track record of success in developing and implementing sales strategies that drive business growth
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Experience in running tech integration projects for business development initiatives.
• Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in the life insurance industry.

Knowledge and skills required:

• 10+ years in business development, project management, sales tech, or insurance strategy
• Proven experience in BFSI sector, preferably life insurance
• Solid exposure to tech-driven transformations, bank partnerships, and regulatory operations
• Program management and cross-functional leadership
