Job Description:
Job Responsibilities -
1. Strategic HR Leadership
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with plant goals (production targets, quality, compliance).
Act as a key member of the plant leadership team.
Ensure workforce planning aligned with manpower budgets, shift requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant roles: production, QC, QA, engineering, warehouse, EHS, R&D; support.
Plan staffing for continuous shifts (24×7 operations).
Build a pipeline for critical GMP/regulated roles.
3. Training & Development (GMP-focused)
Oversee mandatory GMP / cGMP and SOP training programs.
Ensure training compliance for regulatory audits (USFDA, EMA, MHRA, WHO, etc.).
Maintain training records (LMS / manual).
4. HR Compliance, Documentation & Audits
Ensure compliance with:
Factories Act
Drugs & Cosmetics Act requirements (HR-related documentation)
GxP, data integrity, and audit requirements
Local labor laws, PF/ESI, contract labor regulations
Prepare HR documentation for regulatory, quality, and safety audits.
5. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
Handle worker unions (if applicable), negotiations, and grievance management.
Maintain cordial IR environment; drive disciplinary procedures.
Manage contract workforce through contractors in compliance with labor regulations.
Conduct domestic inquiries when required.
6. Performance Management
Implement PMS system tailored to manufacturing KPIs (OEE, cost, quality, compliance, safety).
Drive goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals.
Facilitate leadership development for supervisors and line managers.
7. Compensation & Advantages
Manage payroll, shift allowances, overtime, incentive schemes.
Conduct salary benchmarking for technical roles.
Ensure accuracy in statutory deductions and compliance submissions.
