Job Description:

Duties:
Inspect and diagnose faults in heavy equipment like bulldozers, cranes, graders, excavators, loaders, and other machinery using computerized diagnostic tools and manual testing. Repair or replace defective parts including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, fuel injection, electrical components, and pneumatic systems. Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and servicing equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Overhaul engines and major components to restore machinery to manufacturer specifications. Operate hand and power tools for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of equipment parts. Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation and compliance with safety and quality standards. Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Collaborate with other mechanics and supervisors to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion of work. Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics or apprentices when required. Travel to job sites to perform in office repairs and maintenance as needed.
