Required Skills and Qualifications

· Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, recovery, replication, and performance tuning.

· Experience supporting PostgreSQL databases on Microsoft Azure, including Azure VMs, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, storage, networking, monitoring, and security services.

· Good understanding of Azure cloud architecture, availability zones, disaster recovery, scalability, cost optimization, and cloud best practices.

· Experience with database migration, upgrade planning, data validation, rollback planning, and production cutover support.

· Robust SQL skills with the ability to troubleshoot slow queries, locking, indexing, resource contention, and database performance issues.





· Working knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments used for database hosting and administration.

· Experience with monitoring and observability tools for database performance, availability, logs, alerts, and capacity trends.

· Knowledge of ITIL processes including incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management.

· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an enterprise environment.

· Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
