The Position

As a Lead Engineer - SAP Basis DevOps, you will lead the engineering, automation, reliability, and continuous improvement of SAP platforms across on-premises and Azure cloud environments. You will combine deep SAP Basis expertise with DevOps, platform engineering, and AI-enabled operations to deliver highly available, secure, and automated SAP services.
You will lead a team of engineers, drive platform strategy, enable cloud transformation, and champion contemporary engineering practices that improve productivity, reliability, and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Platform Engineering
- Lead SAP Basis operations for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, SAP BTP, and HANA environments.
- Manage installations, upgrades,



migrations, refreshes, patching, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure platform availability, scalability, security, and operational excellence across SAP landscapes.

DevOps, Automation & Cloud
- Drive DevOps adoption using Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automation frameworks.
- Automate provisioning, monitoring, patching, compliance, and release management activities.
- Lead SAP cloud transformation initiatives on Microsoft Azure.
- Establish platform standards, reusable automation, and engineering best practices.

AI-Enabled Operations
- Drive adoption of AI, Generative AI, and AIOps capabilities across SAP platform operations.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and enterprise AI tools to improve engineering productivity and operational effectiveness.
