ROLE: Research Associate
The candidate would oversee managing the research initiatives and execution in the Dixon IoT
Lab. S/he would be responsible for converting exiting software solutions into a hardware format,
pursue research in embedded hardware and computing, publish research papers, monitor
junior staff, mentor undergraduate students and participate in managing lab inventory and
preparation of reports,
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the embedded hardware vertical, through development and deployment of prototypes and products
• Creation of new knowledge expressed through patents and research publications.
• Supervise and monitor junior staff and students
• Manage Lab environment, inventory and operations.
• Manage documentation and prepare reports for funding agency and other internal/external stakeholders
• Travel and represent the lab in external venues, conferences and collaborating labs.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
• PhD from a reputed research group, in areas related to Embedded computing (OR)
• Master’s degree holders with exceptional qualifications and minimum 3 years of work experience in related
areas.
SKILLS:
Embedded System design and modelling, Embedded hardware development, PCB design and
development, Baremetal and assembly programming, RTOS, Edge computing, robust
programming skills, electronic circuits and instrumentation.
