We're now designing the Rancho Labs Makerspace — a space built for children to explore technology, engineering, robotics, creativity and hands-on making. Not another classroom, but a place that makes a child walk in and think: "I want to build something here." About the Opportunity We're looking for a highly creative Interior Design Intern to take ownership of designing this Makerspace, from concept to execution — working closely with the founder and team on layout, interiors, furniture, workstations, storage, display areas, branding and overall experience. This is a real-world project: your ideas become part of a physical space used by hundreds of children. We want someone who goes beyond "looking good" to ask:



how should the space make a child feel, encourage curiosity, make experimentation feel natural, and inspire the next generation of engineers and creators? What You'll Work On Overall design concept and vision for the Makerspace Space planning and zoning for different activities and age groups Functional areas: robotics/electronics workstations, tinkering zones, fabrication areas, cooperative workspaces, display areas, storage, instructor areas, student interaction zones 2D layouts, 3D models and realistic renders Furniture, workstation, shelving and storage design Ergonomics and safety for children (Grades 3–8) Rancho Labs' brand identity across the physical environment Materials, finishes, lighting and spatial elements - balancing aesthetics, functionality, durability and cost Drawings, specifications and documentation for execution Coordination with the team and vendors/fabricators Iteration based on feedback and e
