The SAM Solution Architect leads the design and implementation of the SAM solution architecture. This is a senior, cross-functional role bridging technical depth with strategic knowledge. This role reports to the SAM Lead.

Key responsibilities
- Design and solutionize end-to-end SAM architecture, including discovery, normalization, reconciliation and reporting whether it be on-prem, cloud or hybrid environments.
- Own the toolchain strategy to evaluate, select and integrate different SAM Platforms. In this case USU License Manager, Open iT, ILMT/ILS, ServiceNow but also Flexera IT visibility with ITSM, CDMDB and procurement systems.
- Define data import frameworks from different sources like agents or agentless scanning, cloud APIs and more.




- Produce SAM target operating model documentation and road maps.
- Engage with software publishers during audits.
- Mentor and technically guide SAM Analysts and License Specialists

Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in IT Asset Management or software licensing with at least 3 years in architecture roles.
- Deep hands-on experience with at least two enterprise SAM platforms.
- Robust understanding of virtualization licensing implications.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
