About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Commerce (Hybris) Backend & Integration Developer to join our Commerce squad. The role focuses on building and maintaining robust backend services, designing scalable APIs, and delivering seamless third-party integrations that power our commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and modules within SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris)
- Build and expose RESTful/OCC APIs to support storefront, mobile, and partner applications
- Develop and manage integrations with third-party systems (payment gateways, OMS, ERP, PIM, tax engines, logistics providers, etc.)
- Implement business logic, data models, and workflows within the SAP Commerce platform
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, and architecture teams to deliver end-to-end commerce features
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend performance and integration reliability
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and platform best practices
- Support production deployments and provide L3 troubleshooting support as needed

Required Skills & Experience

- Hands-on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris backend development
- Solid proficiency in Java, Spring Framework




- Experience building and consuming REST/OCC APIs
- Experience with third-party system integrations (payment, ERP, OMS, PIM, etc.)
- Understanding of Hybris data modeling (Items, Flexible Search, Impex)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile development practices
- Good understanding of e-commerce business processes (catalog, cart, checkout, order management)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Note on POQ experience: Direct experience with POQ Commerce is preferred but not mandatory, as it is a niche platform with a limited talent pool. Candidates with strong Mobile Commerce backend/integration experience (building APIs and services for mobile commerce apps, headless commerce, or app-based storefronts) will also be considered.

Good to Have

- Strong Mobile Commerce backend/integration background (as an alternative to POQ experience)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Exposure to SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) deployment model
- Experience with messaging/event-driven integrations (Kafka, MQ, etc.)

Education

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
