OPD Services

- Conduct regular Medicine OPD consultations.
- Provide follow-up and continuity of care.

B. IPD / In-Patient Care

- Examine newly admitted medicine patients.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists whenever required.
- Ensure appropriate discharge planning and follow-up advice.

C. Emergency Services

- Evaluate and manage medical emergencies.
- Provide initial stabilization and appropriate treatment.
- Manage conditions such as:
- Acute respiratory distress
- Chest pain / suspected ACS
- Stroke
- Sepsis
- Hypertensive emergencies
- Diabetic emergencies
- Acute kidney injury
- Severe infections
- Poisoning and other medical emergencies

- Coordinate ICU/NICU or higher-center referral when required.
- Ensure proper documentation of emergency interventions.

D. Critical Care Support

- Provide medical consultation and support for ICU patients within the doctor's scope of practice.
- Participate in multidisciplinary management of critically ill patients.
- Coordinate with intensivists,



anesthetists and other specialists as required.

E. Clinical Coordination

- Coordinate with departments including:

F. PATIENT & ATTENDANT COMMUNICATION

- Communicate respectfully and professionally with patients and attendants.
- Explain diagnosis, treatment options, expected outcomes and possible risks in understandable language.

G. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Attend departmental/hospital meetings when required.
- Cooperate with hospital administration and quality teams.
- Participate in medical education and staff training programs.

H. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Essential Qualification

- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- MD/DNB in General Medicine/Internal Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the appropriate State Medical Council/NMC, as applicable.
