Role & responsibilities
- Review clinical documentation and assign accurate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Convert diagnoses, procedures, and medical services into standardized medical codes.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and documentation standards.
- Perform quality checks and support auditing activities.
- Act as an SME and guide junior team members when required.
Preferred candidate profile
- 3+ years of experience in Healthcare BPO Medical Coding (E&M;/IP Multispecialty).
- CPC Certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of outpatient coding, multispecialty coding, and procedure coding.
- Experience in QC Auditor or SME roles is preferred.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Windows applications.
- Solid verbal and written English communication skills.
- Willingness to work Monday-Friday (7:30 AM - 5:30 PM IST) with flexibility for overtime and weekends based on business needs.
