Service Engineer – Mechanical BackgroundJob SummaryWe are looking for a Service Engineer with a strong Mechanical Engineering background to handle installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and machinery at customer sites.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and be comfortable with field visits and customer interaction.

- Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, commission, and service mechanical machines and equipment.
- Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance at customer sites.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults and equipment failures.
- Inspect machines and identify worn, damaged, or faulty components.
- Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components as required.
- Handle machine alignment, assembly, dismantling, and fitting activities.
- Use mechanical tools and measuring instruments for servicing and maintenance.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
- Perform testing after installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Provide technical support to customers and resolve service-related issues.
- Explain machine operation and basic maintenance procedures to customers.
- Maintain service reports, maintenance records,



and visit reports.
- Coordinate with the production, engineering, spare parts, and technical teams.
- Ensure timely completion of service calls and assigned maintenance work.
- Follow all required safety and quality procedures.
- Candidate RequirementsDiploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical equipment/machinery servicing and maintenance preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components, fitting, assembly, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Comfortable travelling to customer sites for installation and service work.
- Positive communication and customer-handling skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for service reports and documentation.
- Candidates should be willing to work in a field service role.

Preferred Candidate ProfileCandidates with hands-on experience in industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, automation equipment, pumps, compressors, material-handling equipment, or other mechanical machines will be preferred.
