Roles and Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain IBM DB2 databases on mainframes (AS400) to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures or outages.
- Collaborate with development teams to design data models, develop stored procedures, and optimize database queries for improved query performance.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to database performance tuning, storage management, and backup/restore processes.
Job Requirements :
- 12-22 years of experience in Mainframe DB Administration (DB DBA).
- Robust subject matter expertise in IBM DB2 (AS400), including knowledge of JCL, VSAMS, ZOS operating systems.
- Experience with data replication techniques such as log shipping or streaming replication.
