Job Purpose

The HR Manager will design, implement, and oversee all human resource operations, administrative policies, and statutory compliances at KK Fasteners, Amritsar. This role is crucial in aligning our manufacturing workforce capabilities with business growth objectives, ensuring frictionless plant operations, maintaining peaceful industrial relations, and fostering a high-performance culture.

- Detailed Duties & Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningManpower Planning: Collaborate with department heads and shop-floor managers to forecast and plan annual manpower requirements for both staff (white-collar) and workers (blue-collar).

- End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the complete sourcing lifecycle—including job postings, vendor management (consultants/contractors), screening, interviewing, and final selection.
- Mass Hiring: Lead recruitment drives for skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled operators to prevent production downtime due to labor shortages.
- Induction & Onboarding: Standardise the joining and orientation process to integrate new hires seamlessly into the plant culture.

2. Statutory Compliance & Industrial Relations (IR)Labor Law Adherence: Ensure 100% compliance with the Factories Act (1948), Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act, Industrial Disputes Act, and other relevant central and state labor regulations.

- Grievance Redressal: Establish and manage formal dispute resolution systems.



Address employee grievances promptly to maintain workplace harmony and prevent unionization risks.
- Liaison Management: Act as the primary liaison officer representing the company before local government authorities, including the Labor Department, ESI Corporation, and EPFO offices.
- Contractual Labor Management: Oversee contract labor engagement, ensuring contractors comply with the Contract Labor (Regulation & Abolition) Act, including timely payments and statutory deposits.

3. Compensation, Time-Office & Payroll AdministrationTime-Office Management: Supervise biometric attendance machines, track shift schedules, manage leave records, and compute accurate overtime calculations.

- Payroll Processing: Audit monthly attendance data and coordinate closely with the Finance Department to execute timely and accurate salary disbursements.
- Statutory Returns: Oversee the error-free monthly filing, documentation, and compliance of Employee Provident Fund (EPF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), and Professional Tax.

4. Performance Management & Employee EngagementAppraisal Framework: Execute the annual performance appraisal system. Define clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Result Areas (KRAs) for technical and management teams.

- Competency Mapping: Identify skill gaps on the production floor and orchestrate targeted training programs covering operational excellence, technical skills, and soft skills.
- Retention Strategies:



Develop employee engagement initiatives, celebratory events, and reward-and-recognition frameworks to lower attrition rates.

5. Plant Administration & Workplace SafetyEHS Compliance: Partner with the safety team to maintain high Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, enforcing the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across production zones.

- Facility Management: Oversee general plant administration, including canteen operations, factory security, housekeeping, and staff transportation.
- Exit Formalities: Manage smooth offboarding, including exit interviews, full-and-final (FNF) settlements, and gratuity processing.
- Required Skills & QualificationsEducational Background:
- MBA in HR / Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) / Master of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent.
- A degree or diploma in Labor Laws/Industrial Relations is highly advantageous.
- Professional Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of core HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years handling HR operations within a manufacturing unit, engineering facility, or automotive component industry.
- Core Skills & Knowledge:
- In-depth command over Indian Labor Laws, factory compliances, and register-maintenance protocols.
- Direct hands-on experience dealing with local statutory bodies in Punjab.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Punjabi and Hindi is mandatory for shop-floor communication, along with solid professional English for reporting and management documentation.
- Technical Acumen: Proficiency in HRIS systems, automated payroll software, advanced MS Excel, and statutory web portals (EPFO/ESIC).
