Role Description The Zonal Shift Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India, responsible for overseeing power distribution operations within an assigned zone and shift. The role involves monitoring network performance, coordinating field teams, and ensuring uninterrupted and secure power supply to consumers.

The Zonal Shift

Officer analyzes load patterns, manages outages, and supports timely restoration activities in coordination with control room and maintenance personnel.



The position includes ensuring adherence to safety protocols, regulatory standards, and internal operating procedures while maintaining accurate shift records and reports. The role also requires responding to escalations, supporting operational improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance service reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong operational and coordination skills, including shift management, incident handling, and field team supervision.
- Candidates should possess technical knowledge related to power distribution networks, basic electrical engineering concepts, and grid safety practices.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret operational data, identify issues, and support corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess communication and stakeholder management skills to interact effectively with internal teams, vendors, and consumers.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with standard office and reporting tools, including MS Excel and other data entry or reporting software.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field are preferred.
- Prior experience in utility operations, power distribution, or field service management will be an advantage.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, adhere to safety guidelines, and manage time-sensitive operational tasks is essential.
